Ferrari Driving Schools

If you are a Ferrari car owner, you know the pleasure that is yours when you slip behind the wheel of this fabulous driving machine. Did you know that you could enhance your enjoyment of these vehicles even more by participating in a Ferrari driving school? This is a fun way to get to understand how your Ferrari works, and what it is capable of on a racetrack.

The Ferrari North America School is located in Mont-Tremblant, northwest of Montreal. The driving takes place on a race track a little over two and a half miles long. Instructors make clear that this is not a school to train racers. This Ferrari Driving Experience school will give you the skills you need to get more out of driving your Ferrari.

The instructors have put in many championship wins on race tracks around the world. They are experienced in sharing their skills in a step-by-step manner; with early instruction providing vital tools upon which more advanced techniques will be built.

The Ferrari Driving Experience lasts for two and a half days, and begins with a champagne reception and dinner the evening before classes begin. Time is spent in both the classroom and on the track, although most of the time is spent behind the wheel. Classes cover such topics as vehicle dynamics and driving line. Track time includes introducing skills like how to handle the car in wet and dry conditions, including controlled skids, braking, and acceleration, and building on lapping techniques, beginning with sectional, and moving up to short track and eventually full track circuits.

Students may not drive their own Ferraris, for insurance reasons, but instead are provided with twelve new Ferrari F430 ‘s for their use during the Experience. The fee for sumptuous room, board and instruction is $8,200 in US dollars. There is a waiting list for these special instructional events, so register early if possible.

If you would like to receive all of the superior instruction of the Experience but be able to participate in your own Ferrari, then you might enjoy Ferrari Driving Clinics. Priced at $1350 US, these clinics are held on Ferrari Challenge race weekends, and you get to drive your car on the track, under the helpful eye of your instructor. There are two skill groups, the Sport group for intermediate to advanced drivers and the Touring group for beginner to intermediate enthusiasts. You will also get to participate in infield driving drills to help you hone your ability in several areas, including braking and autocross. You will learn driving techniques to make your Ferrari car driving experience more satisfying. For everyone's safety, Ferrari requires each participating vehicle to receive a technical inspection from an authorized Ferrari dealer.

Enzo Ferrari Racing Legends - From Ferrari's For Sale To Ferrari Wallpaper, His Name Says It All

When Enzo Anselmo"The Commendatore" Ferrari was born in 1898, the world did not know that he would design many of the greatest sports and racing cars. The list is long and distinguishes, Ferrari 149, Ferrari 330, Ferrari 288 GTO, Ferrari 308 GTs, and the Ferrari 149, Ferrari 330, Ferrari 288 GTO, Ferrari 308 GTs, Hamann Ferrari 430 Spyder and the Ferrari Testarossa to mention just a few.

To the present date, what young male adult hasn't dreamed of one day owning a Ferrari? What would be even greater would be to race one of the modified ones in the Grand Prix.

Enzo Ferrari had the distinction of having two birthdays, something special for a youngster growing to brag about to all his friends. His real birthday was February 18, 1898. Because of bad weather, however, his father was unable to register his birth until two days later. Therefore his official birthday is February 20, 1898.

Enzo's father was the owner of a metal shop His greatest desire was to have a son who was an engineer. Enzo's father who had metal shops also was the first person in the area who owned an automobile. Possibly that is why young Enzo Ferrari was more interested in cars and racing rather than engineering. He finish his studies, however, becoming an instructor in Modena, his home town But his passion always remained with racing cars.

When he was 10 he attending his first race with his father. The "Targa Bologna" on Sept 7, 1908, with that "the die was cast". From then on all he dreamed of was becoming the greatest racing car driver and wining the Le Mans or Grand Prix.

He had to temporarily put his dreams on hold when WWI begins. As at 16, the only driving he did was on the back of a mule. It didn't deter him as his thoughts and dreams were still centered on the big car races.

By the time WWI ended. he had made many friends including those in the racing community as well as the auto industry. All those who came in touch with him recognized his talents and encouraged him. Finally in 1929 , at the age of 31, he founded the Scuderia Ferrari in Modena its main purpose being organizing racing for members He continued at that time to work at Alfa Romeo and racing their cars in local races. He enjoyed the excitement of racing and being in his beloved cars. Eventually he left Alfa Romeo as his group Scuderiua became better known. Alfa Romeo still continued to send him cars.

He personally continued to race until the birth of his son known as Dino in 1932. However when his son died in 1956, he wore sun glasses almost every day to honor him.

Along with his racing cars he also produced sports cars as they were an important part of his racing career. By that time automobile manufacturers raced cars to sell their cars. In the case of Enzo Ferrari, however, he sold cars to finance his racing. Most saved and sold their wining cars Enzo was not sentimental about his cars and had them destroyed for parts.

Bad luck seemed to follow him through his racing career. He lost drivers to bad health and death and lost cars to bad judgment. He made the mistake of using a new experimental Pirelli Tires at the Spanish Grand Prix. This lost him the chance of a World Championship, something he desired.,

Although, through the years he had many victorious drivers and races, he never seemed to achieve totally what he desired. Must was expected of his 1982 team but bad luck struck again with the death of his star driver, the maiming of his team mate and the early retirement of its last World Champion. At this point Ferrari had no front line drivers and none on the horizon and years would go by before it could count on another top driver of its own

He did not live to see this achieved. in 1988, Ferrari died at the age of 90. Had he fulfilled his dream as far as racing is concerned? Whether he did accomplish this or not , is not important. What he did accomplish is to create a Ferrari sports automobile and racing car that that is the dream of many.

Enzo Ferrari may no longer be with us but his legacy lives on in the Ferrari Automobile, the Ferrari reputation and even on the Internet. Thousands of times the Ferrari name is searched on the Internet daily in phases like Damaged Ferraris for Sale, Ferrari Italy Ferrari Track Days, Ferrari F50, 1979 Ferrari 308GTS, and most recently the Ferrari FXX are some examples. There are some searches that are used in larger numbers than one might think, such as Ferrari Wallpaper, Rent Ferrari Italy, Ferrari for Hire Italy, Ferrari Car Kit, to The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari . Yes the name Ferrari lives on in the hearts and minds of anyone male or female who has had the good fortune to see a Ferrari Automobile as it pasted by them on the road and thought WOW WHAT A CAR.
